Construction Manager opportunity to oversee the installation and completion of critical infrastructure for a new multi-story building project in the Chicago, IL area. This long-term contract role requires a professional with a safety mindset and a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, ideally those involving cooling towers, generators, switchgear, and other essential building systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of construction are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.

responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the installation and completion of cooling towers, generators, switchgear, and other building infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and safety standards while effectively coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction challenges and maintain progress.
- Ensure processes are followed to secure materials, track project costs, and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
- Minimum OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
- Experience in large-scale building construction or similar infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with Procore
- Proficiency in understanding and managing project timelines
- Experience with MS Project is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively.
