An Engineering Technician is needed for a company that manufactures and sells marking, tracking and computer printing technologies in the Holtsville, NY area. The role involves conducting EMI pre-compliance testing to assess electronic devices' electromagnetic emissions, supporting engineering activities such as design, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype products, and performing operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.

responsibilities:
- Conduct Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) pre-compliance testing to assess electronic devices' emissions before formal regulatory certification.
- Assist in design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype products.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
- Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Associate Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience required.
