A Maintenability Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The role focuses on enhancing aftermarket involvement in new technology development by analyzing maintainability, optimizing repair and diagnostics strategies, improving maintenance cost data collection, and ensuring early evaluation of technical solutions to drive data-driven decision-making and long-term product reliability.

responsibilities:
- Improve aftermarket participation in new technology development to ensure early focus on maintainability in the concept phase.
- Use data analysis to identify high-impact maintainability areas and co-develop technology concepts.
- Enhance data collection for maintenance cost and cost of ownership to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Lead early analysis and participate in failure mode analysis to define repair and diagnostics strategies.
- Analyze product and project information to assess technical solutions from a maintainability perspective.
- Visualize maintenance costs to validate feature levels in the feature roadmap for specific technology areas.
- Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) representative in technology sub-streams.
- Continuously develop and share knowledge within the organization.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and manage planning effectively.
- Self-driven with proactive engagement in learning and skill development.
- strong expertise in home discipline while developing a broader understanding of technical development and business areas.
- Demonstrates potential for long-term career growth and leadership.
