responsibilities:

- Assess land and water protection impacts for utility construction projects.
- Interpret and apply environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Prepare, assemble, and file natural resource permits with regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with water-related regulations, including Michigan's Part 91, 301, and 303 natural resource protection laws.
- Utilize Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) for environmental assessments and evaluations.
- Create and analyze maps using ArcOnline and ArcDesktop tools.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with electric and gas utility projects.
- Established relationships with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
- strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant environmental field or discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferred 3-5 years).
