responsibilities:
- Manage the development of scope of work sections for RFPs (Request for Proposals) related to OE, EOR, OEM, or builder.
- Review or facilitate reviews of civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, and control system engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate internal drawing reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure designs meet company specifications and standards.
- Ensure timely completion of the drawing review process to keep the project on schedule.
- Track progress of project deliverables from OE, EOR, OEM, and other entities, holding them accountable for delivery and finalization of drawings and specifications.
- Confirm that all engineering drawings issued for bid or construction meet project specifications and goals.
- Document decisions on design deviations and engineering resolutions to create a thorough record for future reference.
- Facilitate meetings to gather feedback from key stakeholders (e.g., operations, environmental, gas engineering, electric distribution, project management) to ensure that the design meets their needs while adhering to project budget and schedule constraints.
- Experience with large power plant construction projects, specifically leading or participating in engineering drawing reviews.
- Broad knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, controls) within power generation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the Power Generation industry.
