A leading EPC firm is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join its team on a project in Kansas City. This is a contract position, slated to last 6 months with possible conversion to direct hire.(This role is open nationwide including Atlanta, Austin, Columbia, Denver, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, NYC and more!)
As Fire Protection Engineer, you will evaluate facilities and projects and design fire protection systems. Typical projects will include Water Treatment facilities, Data centers, Oil and gas facilities and Power plants. You should be familiar with conducting hazard analysis, hydraulic calculations, detailed sprinkler and alarm designs, and communicating with key stakeholders. The Fire Protection Engineer will ensure compliance with IBC, IFC, and NFPA standards and company policies.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering, at least 8 years experience in fire protection system design, and be an EIT or PE.
