Laboratory Manager for a leading biotechnology laboratory based in Knoxville, TN. This role is responsible to oversee and complete processing of analytical samples according to appropriate SOPs.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Ideally within a scientific dscipline)
- Laboratory experience performing routine laboratory tasks (molecular analysis, DNA extractions, qPCR templates, and master mixes)
- Ability to delegate tasks and oversee technician performance
- Supervisory experience
- Pipetting experience

responsibilities:
- Oversees technicians that perform routine laboratory tasks, including molecular analysis, DNA extractions, qPCR templates, and master mixes
- Coordinate day to day operations and ensure all Quality Programs and Standard Operating Procedures are followed
- Oversees/completes processing of analytical samples according to appropriate SOPs
- Participates in training of new laboratory technicians
- Maintains equipment calibrations and oversees equipment repairs
- Manages staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
