Manufacturer in Cleveland is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. Experience with Autodesk Inventor is required and the ability to analyze and interpret customer drawings and specifications. Minimal travel. Excellent benefits and will assist with relocation for the right candidate.

responsibilities:
- Prepare and update designs and drawings for projects, assemblies, and manufacturing, leveraging 3D design software (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD).
- Analyze and interpret customer specifications, drawings, and purchase orders
- Create project bills of material using the ERP system
- Create and maintain department related spreadsheets and documents including calculations, project status updates and reports
- Interface with customers and vendors and collaborate with internal team members regarding project design requirements and timelines
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required, a few days per year
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, will consider Associates degree in engineering in combination with experience
- AutoCAD software experience
- 3D design experience using Inventor
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing
- Excellent math skills including geometry and trigonometry as well as ability to use gauges and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Some travel required, approximately a few days per quarter
