A Global Purchasing Material Planner is needed for an American multinational home appliances corporation in the Fort Wayne, IN area. The Global Purchasing Material Planner will manage supply chain activities, ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, maintain inventory levels, resolve Accounts Payable issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules for the Control Box Division.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units such as sales, scheduling, production, customer service, quality, expeditors, global sourcing, finance, shipping/receiving, and engineering to develop necessary analysis and documentation.
- Manage the supply chain for assigned commodities, ensuring the timely procurement and expediting of components.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet sales demands and production schedules.
- Analyze MRP for inventory control to ensure timely material delivery while staying within inventory dollar goals.
- Utilize SAP daily to manage inventory and ensure 100% on-time supplier delivery by sending open order reports to suppliers.
- Resolve Accounts Payable rejections to ensure timely supplier payments.
- Collaborate with Quality Department to resolve supplier quality issues and manage defective material returns for credits.
- Assist with management projects as needed.
- SAP experience preferred (not required).
- Accounts Payable invoice resolution experience required.
- Expert knowledge of MRP and inventory management.

- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience as a Buyer/Materials Planner with Accounts Payable resolution experience.
- Associate's degree with 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- High School degree with 7+ years' experience in the relevant field.
