Our client north of Boston is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team! Candidates will need to come from a Quality Engineering background within manufacturing. We are looking for individuals well versed on GD&T and AS9100 standards as well as Non Destructive Testing and mechanical testing. responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System documentation.
- Represent the company during audits of quality systems, procedures, products, and processes.
- Manage calibration activities and oversee product recalls.
- Coordinate and facilitate product and process approvals with customers, source inspectors, and auditors.
- Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Help develop and implement quality control policies.
- Develop and apply methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product compliance.
- Support the development and qualification of manufacturing processes for new products and product changes.
- Prepare FAIR, FAIP, and oversee First Article Inspections (AS9102).
- Work independently with internal and external customers to address program-specific needs.
- Lead the design, implementation, execution, and documentation of internal and external quality audits.
- Drive the Material Review Board (MRB) process for addressing quality issues.
- Update the ERP system with quality-related transactions.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Actions (CA) for internal or external quality issues.
- Contribute to a positive team environment with a proactive attitude.
- Maintain great relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Provide guidance and training to Quality Inspectors as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Hold the authority to carry out all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
