responsibilities:
- Inspect machine components using a range of standard machine shop inspection tools like micrometers, height stands, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM.
- Configure inspection equipment for shop floor utilization, including the setup of bore gauges and height stands.
- Sample in-process components to verify strict adherence to engineering specifications.
- Scrutinize final components meticulously in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Execute incoming inspections of raw materials and components with precision.
- Possibly conduct both nondestructive and destructive testing as per requirements.
- Operate diverse equipment, including CMM and UT inspection tools, with the option for training.
- Provide invaluable support in Quality Assurance endeavors, including participation in internal and external audits.
- Apply shop math to verify setups and part dimensions effectively.
- Interpret drawings and GD&T proficiently to ensure precise adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production flow and resolution of machining or quality challenges.
- Document insightful observations and offer recommendations for process enhancement.
- Display commitment to training and fostering the development of fellow team members.
- Uphold safety protocols rigorously to ensure the safety of operations.
- Demonstrate autonomy in work tasks with minimal guidance.
- Adhere to company processes and procedures to uphold ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to established company safety standards.
