A respected client is seeking a skilled Quality Management Specialist to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of robust quality management systems and processes for a new engineering facility and shop.
To be considered, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in quality inspection, with a strong understanding of compliance standards within defense and aerospace manufacturing. Experience in establishing quality systems and processes and conducting ISO or DCAA audits is also essential.

responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive quality management systems and processes.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to monitor and ensure the quality of manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate quality data and performance metrics to pinpoint areas needing improvement.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold quality standards.
- Ensure all processes are in line with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Provide training to staff on quality assurance techniques and best practices.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality inspection within the maritime and defense manufacturing sectors.
- Proven experience in establishing quality systems and conducting ISO or DCAA audits.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, particularly within advanced technologies and welding.
- strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards and regulations.
- Preferred certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
