We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Mechanical Commissioning Specialist to support building system startups, commissioning, and quality assurance. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and project specifications while working closely with contractors, engineers, and plant facilities teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience overseeing installations and inspections.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, industry codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE), and OSHA safety practices. strong communication skills, experience reviewing technical documents (shop drawings, RFIs, submittals), and the ability to manage multiple project commitments are essential. Prior experience with construction administration and commissioning activities is preferred. This is a long-term contract opportunity, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:
- Facilitate electrical and mechanical system startups, commissioning, and inspections.
- Review and assess equipment submittals, shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover of equipment.
- Manage scheduling, quality control, and project milestone tracking.
- Prepare field reports and provide feedback for continuous improvement of project standards.
