A fantastic client is seeking a Production Control Assembly Specialist to join their team. This role involves collaborating closely with internal departments and program leaders to plan and schedule materials and production processes.
Candidates should possess both a solid understanding of theoretical concepts and the practical skills needed to apply that knowledge effectively in the role. The position demands technical expertise, along with the ability to translate that expertise into efficient production control.
We are looking for candidates who are safety and quality-focused, with experience utilizing SAP, working with Bills of Assembly, and strong conflict resolution skills. Experience in the aviation manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

responsibilities:
- Drives the conversion of planned orders to process and production.
- Controls production priorities and assists with resource planning.
- Maintains status reports of production parts and assemblies showing part identification, quantities, and Master Production Schedule (MPS) start and completion dates.
- Executes capacity requirements planning to maximize machine utilization and establishes machine priorities.
- Partners with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Tooling, and Quality Control to facilitate the manufacture and flow of product
- Drives Continuous Improvement Initiatives and methodologies to continuously improve processes and drive performance
- Facilitates meetings to review schedule status, highlighting potential risks in meeting delivery requirements and suggesting appropriate corrective measures.
- Maintains the status of raw materials and material shelf-life requirements.
- Manages shop consumable materials in support of manufacturing operations.
- Instruct subordinate personnel on the movement of products throughout the facility.
- Optimizes inventory position (both WIP and finished goods).
- Implements FIFO techniques to manage and minimize the aging of work-in-progress (WIP) inventory, applying engineering analysis to enhance material flow when necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience and education.
- 1+ year of experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization strategies, with the ability to apply these to improve manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in Excel or other data management tools for production tracking and analysis.
- strong analytical skills for evaluating and optimizing production processes.
- Technical proficiency in production systems and production planning software.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements from planning through implementation.
- Aptitude and interest in technology and system optimization.
- Skilled in interpreting manufacturing build plans to understand product flow and ensure production efficiency.
- Safety- and quality-focused mindset to ensure compliance with operational standards
- Aviation manufacturing industry experience is preferred
