A Metrology Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Hampton, VA area. This role involves performing precision inspections using Optical Gauging Smart Scope and Keyence vision systems, applying GD&T principles, and programming vision inspection systems to ensure quality and compliance in manufacturing.

responsibilities:
- Conduct receiving inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, and first article inspections.
- Utilize Optical Gauging Smart Scope and Keyence vision systems for measurement and quality assurance.
- Apply a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) in inspection processes.
- Program and operate vision inspection systems for accurate measurements.
- strong understanding of GD&T.
- Experience using vision inspection systems.
- Ability to program vision inspection systems.
- Experience with SAP.
- Knowledge of AS9102 (First Article Inspection).
- Touch probe experience.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.3 standards.
