Permanent position: Immediate opening in the Jacksonville, FL area, for a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Developer/BIM Specialist, specializing in mechanical systems for commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will lead the VDC team by providing guidance, process improvements, and training materials for VDC Technicians. The VDC team coordinates layout and fabrication drawings for Plumbing, HVAC, and Process Systems using CAD and clash detection software like Navisowrks for improved layout, routing, and interference avoidance. Must have experience with Mechanical Systems and 2+ years of REVIT.
Hourly with full company benefits.

responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and guidance in BIM / VDC Technology development.
- Assist project teams with design and pre-construction services, and establish/implement VDC procedures and techniques to ensure timely modeling/shop drawing approval.???
- Utilizes REVIT and is involved with specification review for system requirements
- Generates BIM reports, verifies designs, and generates material takeoff.
- Works with the VDC developers and other engineering disciplines to complete specifications for Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing of industrial facilities.
- Prepares VR walkthroughs and construction planning.
