A Senior Vehicle Systems Design Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Senior Vehicle Systems Design Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing electrical architecture and system designs for commercial vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading engineering development activities from concept to implementation.

responsibilities:
- Lead/support subsystem and component-level technical concept development with global alignment.
- Define and develop system evolution roadmaps for electrical architecture.
- Develop embedded software specifications, electrical schematics, and block diagrams.
- Engage with multiple departments to deliver robust engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with external and internal customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Write technical reports and specifications detailing electrical system impacts.
- Participate in functional safety and quality tool screening.
- Plan and execute tasks related to safety, quality management, and compliance.
- Electronic hardware/software and supporting infrastructure.
- Electrical architecture design and system development.
- Communication protocols: CAN, LIN, J1939.
- Embedded systems and AUTOSAR.
- Tools for software development, diagnostics, and production.
- BSEE/BSME or MSEE/MSME degree.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle or automotive product development.
