A Measurement Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Measurement Engineer is responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and developing data acquisition systems to support product testing and validation, ensuring accurate measurement, analysis, and reporting in collaboration with internal teams and global counterparts.

responsibilities:
- Configure and develop DAQ systems, instrumentation, and data storage processes.
- Support investment planning and roadmap development for DAQ systems.
- Implement and commission new equipment in collaboration with vendors.
- Develop and improve test procedures for DAQ systems, including report automation.
- Define verification criteria for feature, function, and field tests.
- Analyze results and provide recommendations based on testing data.
- Prepare and manage fault reports.
- Document results and compile engineering reports.
- Solid understanding of vehicle bus systems and their protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
- strong knowledge of metrology fundamentals.
- Experience with scripting languages like Matlab, Python, C#, or C++ preferred.
- Familiarity with DAQ software such as Dewesoft or Ipetronik is a plus.
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and/or Kvaser Memorator is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in teams.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience with analog inputs such as voltage measurement, pressure, frequency, acceleration, and temperature.
