A Buyer in the Camarillo, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. This position is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and managing material flow and deliveries in a manufacturing environment by utilizing MRP systems to optimize production efficiency and ensure timely supplier performance.

responsibilities:
- Support the manufacturing floor by creating, scheduling, and managing orders generated by MRP.
- Coordinate and schedule material flow between departments and manufacturing plants to optimize production and efficiency.
- Establish priorities for customer orders and adjust schedules based on work order specifications and resource availability.
- Plan and allocate materials following prescribed methodologies to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure suppliers provide necessary materials, supplies, and services to meet internal and external customer demands.
- Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to enhance productivity, service, and cycle time reduction.
- Drive part deliveries to minimize shortages while supporting Just-in-Time (JIT) principles.
- Provide suppliers with forecasting information as required.
- Manage and maintain MRP parameters to align with inventory strategy.
- Analyze inventory levels and meet Days on Hand (DOH) objectives.
- strong knowledge of materials planning and inventory control processes.
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and order generation processes.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management, including production planning, purchasing, logistics, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction methodologies.
- strong computer skills, including intermediate MS Excel proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple operations-related departments.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
