An Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will design, develop, and optimize control systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring technical quality, client alignment, and on-site support while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

responsibilities:
- Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup.
- Coordinate work activities with other staff members and discipline leads.
- Design electrical circuits and control panels using control applications.
- Develop control system designs for various processes.
- Optimize process control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Review and evaluate vendor submittals against client specifications.
- Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary, interactive team environment.
- Work closely with subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Receive mentorship from expert engineers to advance career development.
- Knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other control applications.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience in semiconductor fabrication facilities is a plus.
- Reviewing vendor submittal packages for compliance with client requirements.
- Field experience working with subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks software.
- Familiarity with Siemens PLC systems.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- At least 3 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Controls.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
