Engineering Manager Needed for a leading manufacturer of gas appliances in South Metro Atlanta, GA.
Do you have a passion for driving product development and a proven track record in Engineering leadership? We are seeking an Engineering Manager with 10+ years of experience in progressive engineering and product development expertise. This person must have technical knowledge of regulatory and safety codes for boilers, water heaters, and/or gas-fired products. You will be responsible for building a dynamic team for R&D of mechanical systems, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, boilers, and HVAC.

responsibilities:
- Lead the development of product design and test plans, ensuring optimal safety, energy efficiency, emission, performance, reliability, and cost for water heating products.
- Direct and manage the execution of engineering projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to company policies and objectives.
- Stay current on new technologies and industry best practices, contributing to the development and maintenance of technical literature for water heating products.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering and product development experience related to comfort solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced engineering tools and methods.
- Advanced proficiency in mechanical systems and water heating product design and applications.
- Understanding of product design and engineering fundamentals, including heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
- Excellent understanding of CSA certification processes and ANSI standards related to water heating products.
- Experience with ASME BPVC, specifically around H-stamp product (a plus).
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D software.
- Experience developing products via New Product Development process (Stage Gate).
- Team leadership skills with a minimum of 3-5 direct reports.
