A Drafter is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the El Cajon, CA area. The Drafter is responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring design accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and effective collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

responsibilities:
- Create, revise, and maintain detailed technical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to translate concepts into accurate drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project requirements.
- Manage and organize drawing files, records, and documentation in a systematic manner.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Support design reviews, quality checks, and production processes by providing accurate and timely drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience in a drafting role, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or marine industries, is a plus.
