An EHS Analyst is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Carpinteria, CA area. An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Analyst develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, aiming to prevent workplace hazards and injuries.

responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between facilities, Business Unit Management, and the Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety Department.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures to ensure uniform compliance with relevant regulations across the facility.
- Coordinate reporting, tracking, root cause analysis, and trend analysis of workplace incidents, injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents; create corrective actions and assign responsibilities as necessary.
- Create, guide, and improve Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments; ensure all routine tasks are captured and determine when to utilize non-routine risk assessments.
- Collaborate with management to set short-term (annual) and long-term (3-5 year) goals for safety, health, and environmental system improvements, aiming for reductions in injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
- Facilitate and direct efforts to meet or exceed established safety and environmental goals.
- Provide guidance to the management team for continuous improvement of the overall safety culture.
- Experience with Behavioral-Based Safety programs.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting processes.
- Working knowledge of industrial ergonomics.
- Ability to manage safety initiatives across multiple Business Units and management teams.
- strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
- Experience managing electrical and chemical safety programs.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or safety science or a related technical field.
- With 3-5 years of EHS working experience, or a combination of education and experience.
