A Contracts Manager is needed for a utility holding company in the Minneapolis, MN area. The Contract Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for engineering, procurement, and construction projects, negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, and overseeing risk mitigation and post-award contract management to ensure successful project execution.

responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, ensuring alignment with business stakeholder priorities.
- Utilize expertise in construction project contracts to procure EPC/turnkey contracts.
- Develop strategies and negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers.
- Manage risk mitigation and post-award contract management plans, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supplier reviews to optimize project execution.
- Lead the process to define technical bid requirements, specifications, and specialized terms and conditions.
- Conduct bidding events and lead bid evaluation teams to analyze proposals and award contracts.
- Apply contract knowledge to ensure efficient project delivery management.
- Ensure invoices have proper supporting documentation and payments align with materials delivered or work completed.
- Experience in contract management, particularly in construction.
- Experience with large, multi-million dollar contracts.
- strong negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with contracting systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
