A large utility is looking for an Industrial Engineer in Livonia, MI. The Senior Industrial Engineer drives operational excellence by applying advanced industrial engineering principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cost standards while leading continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.This is a contract position estimated to last 6 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm.

responsibilities:
- Support and advance operational excellence across the organization.
- Apply intensive and diversified industrial engineering principles to various assignments.
- Lead process refinement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Conduct work observations, time and motion studies, and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Stratify losses and analyze performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Implement new and enhanced processes, technologies, policies, and standard work.
- Ensure that operations meet cost, quality, compliance, and timeliness expectations.
- Prioritization and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
