Our client is looking for an Automation Engineer to sit in either of their two locations near Syracuse, NY or near New London, CT. This is a full time opportunity working with an Aftermarket team to develop PLC programs, HMI systems, and AC/DC configurations for our clients drives and control systems.
We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge on the items previously mentioned as well as a 2 year technical degree at the minimum. We are also looking for individuals who have relevant computer related skills such as Ladder Logic, HMI configuration, Microsoft applications, and other software.

responsibilities:
- Develop PLC programs using tools such as ladder editor, function block diagrams, and flow charts
- Design and create HMI applications
- Plan and assess PLC network architecture
- Configure AC/DC drives
- Integrate legacy drives, controls, and equipment
- Assist in the creation of technical product documentation and related information
- Conduct in-house testing of software and systems
- Provide on-site support during system start-up and commissioning phases
- Offer remote and on-site customer support
- Collaborate with the sales team on pre-study analysis and report preparation
- Engage with customers as necessary
- Work closely with team members to ensure successful project completion
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the manager
- Maintain awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and EH&S programs
