A Controls Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Alpharetta, GA area. The main function of a controls engineer is to design, develop, install, and maintain equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes.

responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and following the electrical design schedule from concept to system completion while adhering to project deadlines.
- Test, evaluate, modify, and calibrate products and instruments.
- Analyze plant processes and implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware and processes.
- Perform technical calculations for electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Technical proficiency in software applications.
- PLC programming (Schneider, Rockell A-B).

- Emergency Electrical Power System controls (Generators, Turbines, UPS, ATS).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 8-10 years experience required.
