A Designer is needed for a utility holding company in the White Bear Lake, MN area. This role is responsible for creating, updating, and revising technical drawings, 2D/3D models, and documentation using GIS software or manual drafting techniques to meet project and customer requirements.

responsibilities:
- Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using GIS software or manual drafting techniques.
- Develop 2D and 3D models based on project requirements.
- Read and interpret customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications.
- Utilize project engineering, architectural, or technical service inputs to complete drafting assignments under supervision.
- Ensure familiarity with drafting techniques, engineering concepts, and industry terminology.
- Read and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Prepare documentation to support design drawings.
- Generate bills of materials (BOM), schedules, and other project-related documents.
- Assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction-related issues.
- GIS software, AutoCAD, drafting techniques, engineering concepts.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, customer specifications, and technical documents.
- Preparing bills of materials, schedules, and supporting design documentation.
- Working with engineers, architects, and project teams.
- Ensuring accuracy in drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
