In this position, you will be responsible for building and leading the project management function, driving the creation and standardization of processes across teams, and collaborating with counterparts at other group sites. This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement solutions that optimize project execution, reduce lead times, lower costs, and enhance the customer experience across multiple concurrent projects. Ideal candidates will have experience in machinery or capital equipment design/build and a strong background in project management, including scheduling/expediting, costing, and problem-solving.

responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects from award through all phases of development, ensuring a seamless, defect-free handover to the customer.
- Resource Coordination: Plan and coordinate the effective use of technical and assembly resources across various projects to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards for all active projects.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project execution and minimize potential disruptions.
- Problem Resolution: Analyze root causes of project issues, implement corrective actions, and drive solutions to ensure efficient problem closure across multiple projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, timely, and accurate status reports to both external clients and internal teams to maintain transparency and alignment across all projects.
- Innovation & Process Development: responsible for creating and implementing solutions and processes that optimize project execution, reduce lead times, lower costs, and improve customer experience across multiple concurrent projects.
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSME) or comparable training.
- Must have experience in multi-project management, preferably in an industry related to machinery or capital equipment design/build. Ability to support and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in tracking project schedules, expediting deliverables, and managing project timelines to ensure timely completion.
- strong knowledge and expertise in cost management and budgeting, ensuring adherence to project financials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues early and develop effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- strong computer skills, including expertise in MS Projects or other project management software. Experience with EPICOR (Kinetic) ERP is a plus. Familiarity with ACAD 2D is an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, project specifications, floor plans, and technical documentation.
