A Product Review Engineer is needed for a multinational aerospace corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and telecommunications equipment in the San Antonio, TX area. This role involves leading the assessment, resolution, and improvement of structural and electrical issues in aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, conducting root cause analysis, and providing technical expertise in repairs, modifications, and quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.

responsibilities:
- Apply broad knowledge of company design and engineering principles.
- Assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead research into technical, operational, and quality issues beyond customer resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
- Develop and implement product and process improvements.
- Use innovative approaches to address complex nonconforming conditions and detect deviations.
- Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues and recommend/manage complex resolutions.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews.
- Represent the engineering community during production and post-production phases.
- Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with company standards.
- Develop customer correspondence for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Design jacking and shoring schemes and develop interim structural repairs with static strength analysis.
- Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.
- Create and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers.
Education and Experience:
- Engineering degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 5+ years of experience designing structural and electrical rework/repairs for aircraft/system restoration.
