We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to ensure the highest standards of product quality at our manufacturing facility. This role focuses on high-volume products while also supporting smaller, complex, and mature products. You will be involved in both new product development and continuous improvement activities. responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate new product development activities, including Product Qualification Testing (PQT) and First Article Testing (FAT).
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and out-of-box failure analyses.
- Support and maintain quality management system activities, including internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, technical quality plans, and test reports per customer requirements.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and conduct capability studies to ensure product compliance.
- Analyze data to assess product performance and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams on root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering field with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability, or test engineering.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding design drawings and schematics.
- Solid problem-solving skills with experience in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work proactively and meet deadlines.
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, and Gage R&R methodologies.
- Familiar with SPC methodologies and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab.
- Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and military standards.
- Experience with SAP and high-volume product manufacturing.
