responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Lead and provide direction to the manufacturing departments, including Production, Procurement, Machine Shop, Assembly, Shipping & Receiving, and Building Maintenance.
- Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and boost output, while upholding the highest standards of quality.
- Oversee production schedules, workforce allocation, equipment, and materials to ensure timely production and on-time deliveries.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control protocols to ensure products consistently meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Foster a safety-first culture by promoting and enforcing safety policies, practices, and procedures throughout the organization.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels, manage vendor relationships, and streamline procurement operations.
- Monitor operational expenses to ensure alignment with budget targets without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Lead initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma to drive operational excellence, identify cost reduction opportunities, and improve overall performance.
- Encourage a culture of learning and growth by mentoring team members, identifying training opportunities, and supporting their professional development.
- Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and overall performance for senior management, utilizing data insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in senior operations leadership within a manufacturing environment, preferably in capital equipment or machinery sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and supply chain operations.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
