responsibilities:
- Conduct training for new employees as well as the monthly plant employee training
- Supervise the sanitary department
- Provide support to lab supervisor as needed
- Measure the performance of the sanitation procedures and CIP systems.
- Monitor the recording charts and perform chemical strength tests
- Review lab records as necessary, yeast/mold, coliform, environmental and charm ATP swabs determining the effectiveness of SSOP's
- Audit the cleaning schedules and report results to management
- Audit records for dairy plants weekly and report results
- Assist the QA manager and compliance manager in developing quality programs in the plant, and works with external auditors both regulatory and internal.
- Function as liason between plant and chemical supply companies
- Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of position
- Follow and make sure department follows all guidelines and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements
- Follow and make sure department follows all safety and environmental regulations
