A Senior Concept Engineer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This job creates footwear prototypes by blending design, engineering, and collaboration to drive innovation.

responsibilities:
- Transform early footwear concepts into real prototypes.
- Support decision-making and prepare overseas factory partners for production.
- Communicate with footwear designers, developers, and engineers.
- Influence design and technical direction based on expertise.
- Use PROCAM Dimensions CAD software to create footwear patterns.
- Build footwear prototypes using machinery and hands-on methods.
- Collaborate across multiple teams within BFL and company footwear.
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve processes and standards.
- Educate the broader footwear community by assisting in Shoe School classes.
- strong artistic eye for design combined with a technical engineering mindset.
- Excellent visualization skills to translate between 2D and 3D.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
- Comfortable working in team settings with diverse perspectives.
- Adaptable to ambiguity, with a proactive, results-driven attitude.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing or a technical role.
- 3+ years direct footwear pattern engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design, apparel design, engineering, or a related field OR 8 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to engineer complex footwear patterns from 2D design sketches or 3D renderings.
- Proficiency in footwear pattern CAD software (PROCAM Dimensions preferred).
- Skilled in operating cutting, stitching, and footwear manufacturing machines.
- Ability to create a lasted upper and troubleshoot technical issues.
