A Test Technician is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Phoenix, AZ area. This role involves performing assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of aircraft components and systems, including thermal and vibration testing, while ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols.

responsibilities:
- Plan, assemble, disassemble, rework, and perform engineering development and qualification tests on various aircraft components and systems.
- Analyze and evaluate test results to verify that required parameters are met.
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are achieved.
- Perform functional testing based on pre-established test procedures.
- Monitor tests through completion, record test data, and service test equipment as required.
- Document acceptance or failure results.
- Operate hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment, and mechanical measuring devices properly.
- Load and unload electronic equipment in test beds safely and correctly.
- Comply with quality systems and participate in continuous improvement efforts (ACE).
- Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by the team.
- Acquire necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications as required.
- Follow safety protocols and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Adhere to production schedules and quality requirements.
- Understand the end use of manufactured products.
- Use computer tools like SAP and accurately follow work instructions.
- Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
- Train others for technical tasks as needed.
- Interface with other functional groups to resolve business-related issues.
- Participate in waste minimization efforts and audits.
- Request tools and supplies based on project requirements.
