A Hardware Design Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services. This position can be located in either Silicon Valley, CA, Austin, TX, or Raleigh, NC. This role will implement and verify RTL (Register Transfer Level) designs for image and video processing blocks.

responsibilities:
- Create design specifications and test plans in collaboration with other teams.
- Implement and verify RTL (Register Transfer Level) designs for image and video processing blocks.
- Support verification engineers to ensure bug-free silicon.
- Perform front-end synthesis and analyze timing results.
- Run CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) and Lint checks for design blocks.
- Analyze and optimize performance, gate count, and power consumption for digital designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IPs.
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and RTL design.
- Experience designing image and video processing blocks.
- strong understanding of floating-point arithmetic in RTL.
- Background in debugging designs and simulation environments.
- Familiarity with Design for Test (DFT) and scan concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 5-7 years in the field.
