responsibilities:
- Perform design analysis and implement design changes for electronic and electromechanical components, power supplies, electrical sub-assemblies, and product assemblies.
- Lead small to medium projects or participate in complex projects, ensuring timely engineering releases.
- Generate feasibility assessments, product risk documentation, DFMEA, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and marketing teams to achieve project goals.
- Guide and share technical knowledge with other engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Challenge existing work processes and proactively find innovative solutions to reach desired performance levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of engineering experience working on circuit board design.
- Solid organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with regulatory standards.
- Circuit board design expertise with embedded processors.
- Experience using root cause analysis tools (5-why, fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, fault trees).
- Proficiency with schematics, layouts, and design analysis tools.
- Experience with digital design and software development for testing hardware designs.
- Knowledge of communication interfaces (CAN, USB, SPI, I2C, LVDS, display boards) and interfacing analog/digital sensors to embedded processors.
