A Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This role designs and develops HVAC systems and support utilities for treatment and vitrification processes, prepares engineering and procurement documentation, and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

responsibilities:
- Apply mechanical engineering methods, techniques, and standards for HVAC design.
- Design, develop, and modify mechanical components and processes using relevant procedures, codes, and standards.
- Provide technical assistance and interact with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist project and construction management in ensuring compliance with mechanical requirements.
- Review and check mechanical engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members as needed.
- Conduct monthly brown bag learning presentations on HVAC topics.
- Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
- Ensure proper selection of HVAC components and equipment based on specifications and reliability.
Education and Experience:
Level 1:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (must obtain PE license within 1 year).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or international equivalent) with 5-8 years of experience or
- 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of experience or
- 15-20 years of relevant work experience.
