Our client in NY is looking to add a Commission Field Engineer to their growing team! We are looking for individuals who are open to extensive travel with a valid passport, and experience with installation of equipment. You will be conducting drive system checkouts for PLC systems. Candidates for this role will need at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, 4 years of engineering experience, and at least 2 years of servicing converting equipment. responsibilities:
- Conduct drive system checkouts for Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens systems on the plant assembly floor.
- Ensure project software and schematics are updated and properly archived.
- Commission drive systems on equipment at customer sites.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize machine performance.
- Provide technical assistance and training to customers on troubleshooting and servicing drive systems.
- Set up drive networks, tune drives, calibrate load cells, and train machine operators and maintenance personnel on corrective actions to ensure equipment meets specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot design and hardware issues during checkout.
- Act as a liaison to customers during the installation and startup phase.
- Participate in pre-commissioning meetings with customers and the commissioning team.
- Provide feedback on non-standard equipment setup procedures for manuals.
- Offer customer support for troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Maintain awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management systems.
