A leading manufacturer of structural steel and custom metal work is looking for their next Mechanical Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Watertown WI. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting capital projects from estimating through manufacturing and construction.
Responsibilities include coordinating with customers and suppliers, tracking job costs, managing project timelines, and assisting with engineering drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Either Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor Suite, Tekla or RISA
- Travel will be 10-15%

responsibilities:
- Candidate's initial responsibilities will include assisting project managers and project engineers with daily tasks such as; dehydration system design and layout, customer and supplier communications, specifying and ordering of parts, using TEKLA to track projects through the entire manufacturing process from estimating through shipping for large, time-line sensitive construction projects.
- Candidate will also be expected to work with the engineering staff with the creation and detailing of drawings for manufacturing and construction. When competent in daily tasks, this candidate may be trained in both estimating and project management.
- Candidate needs to be able work well with other teams such as outside engineering suppliers and internal manufacturing to provide information such as drawings to the factory for fabrication, as well as final construction drawings to the customer.
- Candidate will also work with the business development team by providing technical support both in house as well as in the field. Required travel should be no more than about 10% per year to domestic and international customers.
