Recent grads will be considered who have the ability to create detail and fabrication drawings using 3D modeling software. Must have the ability to work with algebraic equations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. The ability to equate fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions is key.

responsibilities:
- Performs layout and design drawings for steel structures
- Prepares installation instructions and assembly instructions for the shop - cutting, punching, and purchasing instructions.
- Calculates weights of job.
- Inputs BOM information into the computer.
- Measures machines and parts during production to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
- Bachelor's Degree Required in Structural, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or related engineering plus 2 years relevant experience preferred.OR Associate's degree in engineering technology and 5+ years of related work experience.
- Proficiency with designing 2D and 3D drawings
- Mathematical skills including algebraic equations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Knowledge of proper welding designations
