A Construction Management Professional is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Morristown, NJ area. The role involves providing construction support and oversight for environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with safety and project standards, managing subcontractors, and maintaining effective communication with the project team.

responsibilities:
- Serve as a construction support role, working with the Assistant Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Safety Manager, Field Engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and standard operating procedures in the field.
- Maintain open communication with the Construction Manager and Field Engineers, acting as the eyes and ears for the team.
- Adapt quickly to changing site and construction conditions based on direction from the Construction Manager and Field Engineers.
- Support consistent implementation of site-specific HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and environmental plans and objectives.
- Provide visible support and leadership to project stakeholders for the safe execution of high-risk construction activities.
- Conduct construction oversight, environmental remediation, and air monitoring using equipment like PIDs.
- Perform maintenance and calibration of air monitoring equipment.
- Manage and coordinate with construction subcontractors daily.
- Document construction activities and support the project team's daily needs.
- Experience documenting field and construction activities in logbooks and photo logs.
- Experience preparing daily construction reports.
- Familiarity with air monitoring equipment (e.g., 5-gas meters, PIDs) and experience in calibration and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- strong interpersonal and personnel management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, construction management, or related field.
- 1-3 years of construction experience, including managing subcontractors (preferably in environmental remediation).
- OSHA 40/8-hour HAZWOPER certification.
