A Project Controls Professional Senior is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Philadelphia, PA area. This role involves managing project cost controls, scheduling, and financial reporting for EPCMV Bio/Pharma projects, utilizing Primavera P6, earned value management, and risk analysis while collaborating with engineering, construction teams, subcontractors, and clients.

responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules
  
  
• Prepare and maintain the Total Installed Cost Report
  
  
• Lead a team of four people
  
  
• Conduct cost review meetings on project financial status with the client
  
  
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to:
  
  
• Determine Estimate at Completion (EAC)
  
  
• Assess Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
  
  
• Identify potential risks and their financial impact

Perform cost engineering functions, including:

Cost estimating, control, change management, risk management

Cost analysis, variance analysis, and earned value management

Work with subcontractors, vendors, and superintendents to:

Monitor Work in Progress (WIP)

Forecast project completion

Apply Accounting Standard Codification (ASC) 606 for project margin reporting

Understand engineering and construction techniques and their cost implications

Implement and evaluate earned value management for tracking engineering and construction progress

Track subcontractor and vendor commitments, expenditures, and forecasted completion

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
  
  
• 20+ years of experience in Cost Engineering / Project Controls within EPCMV Bio/Pharma projects
  
  
• Expertise in Earned Value Management, Change Management, and Risk Management
  
  
• Advanced Excel skills
  
  
• strong emotional intelligence, teamwork, coachability, and analytical abilities
  
  
• Experience with:
  
  
• EcoSys and Oracle Unifier
  
  
• EPCMV project life cycle (home office & field construction)
  
  
• Primavera P6 scheduling
  
  
• Preparing and maintaining Total Installed Cost Reports (subcontractor/vendor commitments, expenditures, forecasts)
