A prominent food equipment manufacturing company in the St Louis, MO area is seeking a Design Services Coordinator. This role will work directly with customers to talk about their equipment needs and put together a custom drawing based on those needs. The designer will also quote the entire system. This is not a sales role since the sales lead is passed from sales directly to design services. This role needs to be able to understand customer requirements and translate that into a design. This is a high prioirty role, salaried in the $80K range, potentially higher for very qualified candidates. The position is bonus eligible with excellent benefits!

responsibilities:
- Bridge the gap between market needs and operating capabiities
- Ensure that products and service offerings are relevant, competitive and packaged properly
- Ensure the design and quote deliverables are on target to win profitability
- Apply knowledge of design, modeling, and drawing practices to solve design challenges
- Ensure that the design meets quality standards, cost budgets and schedule deadlines
- Develop, implement and evolve CAD standards
- Develop and collect metrics to improve CI efforts
