Manufacturing Automation Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment.

Required qualifications:
- A.S OR B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is ideal)
- Must have experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal)
- Understanding of Fanuc Robots and ABB robot operations
- Experience with PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems
- Siemens S7 programming experience

responsibilities:
- Conducts ground level programming, new machine installation, upgrades and troubleshooting for various programs, industrial robotics, and production systems
- Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment
- Program and design new and existing PLC controls
- Programming of robots and touching up points as needed to support production needs.
- Create and correct plant electrical drawings for equipment.
- Work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including, but not limited to; PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems
