A full service engineering firm servicing the municipal and electric cooperative utilty market is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow their Charlotte office. The manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the office including managing engineers and designers, and interfacing with clients to resolve project and technical issues. This is a high-priority search, salaried in the $165K range, plus bonus!

responsibilities:
· Responsible for employee engagement, performance reviews, interviewing/hiring, work quality, budgets and schedules, mentorship and growth, project execution, client interaction, and business development.
· Ability to provide technical review of project scopes, develop budget estimates and prepare proposals
· Ability to prepare various specification for bid such as equipment specification, labor specification and relay specifications.
· Must have a good understanding of the technological, market, and commercial trends driving the current utility industry transformation.
· Will be responsible for all aspects of the line of business, including maintaining existing clients and generating new clients.
