A Sensory Technician is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Bridgewater, NJ area. The Sensory technician supports the daily operations of the sensory laboratory, assists with sensory and consumer testing, manages logistics and product procurement, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards under the guidance of the senior technician.

responsibilities:
- Supports daily operations of the sensory laboratory under the guidance of the senior technician.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of the laboratory and supply space.
- Ensures sensory studies are executed on time and with high quality in collaboration with lead scientists and managers.
- Assists in planning and procuring products and supplies for on-site tastings and product evaluations.
- Supports the execution of sensory studies with sensory and employee panels.
- Adheres to health, safety, and environment policies and good laboratory practices.
- Schedules, plans, and executes informal lab tastings, including product preparation, ballot development, and reporting.
- Assists with procurement and shipping of products for external consumer testing, ensuring timely delivery and record-keeping.
- Coordinates with facilities for onsite consumer testing, including room setup, staffing for product preparation, and security alerts.
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
- Maintains strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Works effectively in a team environment and shows good interpersonal skills.
- Is self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Has experience working in a scientific laboratory setting, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols and SOPs.
- Possesses knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook,familiarity with sensory testing software is a plus.
- Has moderate statistical skills, which are desirable for the role.
- Holds a High school diploma at minimum.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
