One year ++ contract & work from home. A leading multi-disciplinary engineering and project management firm is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE). This is a hybrid role working from hom, with monthly site visits to the project site in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry design, while managing civil/structural scopes on brownfield projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

responsibilities:
- Design buildings, civil structures, and industrial structures using structural steel, reinforced concrete, and reinforced masonry.
- Perform structural calculations with Mathcad, RISA 3D, S-Frame, and other engineering software.
- Conduct computer modeling and develop structural drawings utilizing Bluebeam markups and Navisworks.
- Manage civil/structural scopes on small to medium brownfield projects, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule.
- Conduct site visits for data collection, field inspections, and construction oversight.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable U.S. codes, including ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, and more.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to support successful project execution.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, providing guidance to drafters and designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural (Civil) Engineering.
- Active PE license in Kentucky (or eligibility for endorsement).
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering within heavy industry sectors (petroleum, petrochemicals) or 7+ years in commercial/light industry in the U.S.
- Expertise in U.S. building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
- Ability to travel as needed for site inspections.
