Automotive manufacturer in Dearborn is seeking a Program Manager to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have previous project/program management experience in automotive manufacturing, specifically dealing with inside vehicle components, powertrain experience a plus. A bachelor's degree is required, engineering or similar preferred. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in office and 5 days remote per week. Excellent benefits and profit sharing! Occasional travel is required, about 10%.

responsibilities:
- Lead a cross functional team to bring product design to production
- Provide project leadership and drive all aspects of program launch
- Serve as key customer contact for engineering, supply, and quality teams
- Report program status to the executive team, including timing, quality, cost and deliverable status
- Develop effective deliverables to monitor team's launch status and performance
- Ensure customer requirements and program timing are met
- Establish and maintain program files and retain in an orderly manner
- Minimize project risk and inform management
- Conduct continuous improvement activities concluding the launch
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar required
- Experience in project/program management in automotive manufacturing
- Ability to prepare program presentations and present information clearly to customers
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint required
- Knowledgeable in managing automotive programs, including engineering, project budgeting and finance, commercial agreements, purchasing, supply, and IT project development
- Coordination and planning skills; Project Management
