This role involves inspecting materials, parts, and products at various stages of production to ensure they meet company standards. The responsibilities include compiling, interpreting, and documenting observations of the production process, as well as recommending process improvements. The inspector will also conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electronic devices under a microscope and assist with addressing quality-related issues.
Candidates must have experience in electronics manufacturing or the aerospace/defense industry, be skilled in using hand tools, and possess experience in both in-process and final inspections.

responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
- Perform mechanical and electrical inspections of components and assemblies.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, ensuring they match the provided documentation.
- Record, log, and organize received items, ensuring proper documentation for traceability.
- Identify, document, and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in received materials.
- Perform visual inspections and measurement tests to ensure parts meet quality standards and reject non-conforming items.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) for customer shipments, ensuring all data is accurate and complete.
- Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company safety standards and procedures.
- At least three years of inspection experience in the electronics manufacturing or aerospace defense industry
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- strong understanding of AS9100, J-STD-001 soldering, and IPC-610 standards.
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical inspections.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other devices to verify fabricated parts against engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a production environment.
- Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain focus while performing a high volume of inspections.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality Assurance, and external customer representatives.
- First Article Inspection (FAI) reporting experience, in compliance with AS9102, is a plus.
